We started shooting at 8am. The first shots were of the Amy Jones Group clients. I shot the hands at differing apertures and shutter speeds looking for the right look.
To combat the sun we used multiple flag kits on C – stands and reflectors. These kind of outside shoots are challenging, especially in Arizona as the sun is HARSH. It’s a race against the clock, shadows become a problem as the sun gets higher in the sky.
The “dancing shots” were with an ultra wide angle lens, f/11 I believe. I took the camera and head up a 12 foot ladder, balanced everything as best I could on a piece of plank wood. Not the best scenario but it’s all I had to work with.
The aerial shots were with a DJI Phantom carrying a GoPro 3 Black. This video will play at the Chandler Crossroads location of Harkins Theatre’s for an entire year!
All in all, I think it came out pretty good. what about you?
